Lenten Season 2009

Dear Family and Friends,

This year I have chosen Barbara Brown Taylor's excellent book, "God in Pain: Teaching Sermons on Suffering," as the basis for my Lenten sermons. With Barbara's permission, I will be preaching much of her material, but because of copyright restrictions, I will not be printing those sermons.

Instead I'd like to share with you six Lenten sermons, which I felt inspired to write from early morning walks by the Pacific Ocean in 2002.

I hope you will find the sermons meaningful and inspiring as you experience Lent this year.
